In his years of service, he is currently working at Magna International under the Division of Modatek Systems. He gained experience in Car Parts Manufacturing through Multimatic, Inc., at Inmet Division. All these secular jobs were paving his ministry in Canada. He has been a classroom teacher in Secondary Education & College Instructor at Roosevelt College, Marikina City. Incorporator & CEO of St. Brethren Montessori School, Phils. National Church Moderator of Social Brethren Church, Phils., Resident Minister of Bethany SBC, Interim Pastor of First Church SBC, Resident Minister of Jesus of Galilee SBC, presently Founder & CEO of International Cornerstone Fellowship of Social Brethren Church, Canada. Currently, pastoring the International Cornerstone Central Church, the first Congregation that is self supporting indigenous church.
Rev. Nehemiah’s achievements in the ministry started at his age of 20 yrs. old when he accepted the call of church planting ministry. The first church planting ministry was under the banner of the Church of the Nazarene. As a young pastor, he planted a church currently called Novaliches Church of the Nazarene.
When he got married to Ruth Galindez in 1982, he joined the mission ministry of the Social Brethren Church, Phils. This was organized under the leadership of his parent in laws, late Rev. Geronimo Galindez and his wife, late Mrs. Beatrice Galindez. He was one of the pioneering worker when First Church of the Social Brethren was planted beside the Mission Center at Octagon st., Pasig City. He began a pioneering ministry at Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City and planted a church at Greenwoods Executive Village now called Bethany Social Brethren; His calling of church planting was greatly influenced by his father, late Rev. Nehemiah Libre who was a graduate of Foursquare Bible College, Davao City. With the burning desire of serving the Lord Jesus Christ, he continued in his planting ministry without any support from the mission. His pioneering ministry were being sustained by his career as a Physics Teacher at Roosevelt College, Marikina. He conducted a Bible Study among the teachers at Roosevelt College, Marikina City. As a result, he formally organized a church October 26, 1997 now called Jesus of Galilee Social Brethren Church; He also founded also a school named ST. BRETHREN MONTESSORI SCHOOL to boost up evangelism drive at Banana, San Mateo, Rizal. Rev. Nehemiah Libre & his family migrated to Canada April 4, 2004. He started bible studies, visitations, pastoral calls and worship services. And finally able to registered a charity organization as an umbrella organization to organize local churches in Canada. He began conducting worship services, March 2010 at a rented heritage chapel of Knox Presbyterian Church Sixteen, 1150 Dundas st. West, Oakville, Canada. Another organization was established January, 2012 duly registered a non-profit organization called INTERNATIONAL CORNERSTONE FELLOWSHIP OF SOCIAL BRETHREN CHURCH. In January, 2015 this organization was duly recognized by the government of Canada as a charity organization. The first local church was formally organized, January 13, 2019 named as International Cornerstone Central Church as recommended by the 7th National Assembly of ICF SBC Canada.
Nehemiah is a native of Davao, Philippines whose parents (Rev. Nehemiah Libre, Sr. & Mrs. Rosalina Alfaro) are both a graduate in Foursquare Bible College, Davao City. He was called by God to serve when he was in grade IV but bargained with the Lord God Almighty in tears to allow him to take secular degree to support his parents and his younger siblings when he grow up. During his tender years he experienced the hardest time of hunger & nothingness, a true life of self denial and sacrifices while his parents performed their church planting ministry. It was in 1975, that he accepted the Lord Jesus as his Master & Saviour during his secondary education. At Southern Mindanao Colleges, he graduated high school as class salutatorian which entitled him to take several scholarship grants. He was offered full scholar at Mindanao State University but decided to continue his studies in Manila City. By the financial support of the Department of Culture & Sports, 1982 he graduated as a Chemical Engineer. During his baccalaureate studies, he was very active in participating church activities at First Church of the Nazarene, Parkway Village, Quezon City. He participated the church choir and also in the church planting ministry of the Nazarene Church. He was able to pioneer a group of Christian believers at Novaliches, Quezon City which became one of the big church of the Church of the Nazarene denomination. Pastor Nehemiah got married to Ms. Ruth Daisy Galindez and decided to help the Social Brethren Church, Phils. in planting churches in Metro-Manila. His father in law late Rev. Geronimo Galindez was the pioneering missionary to the Philippines under the banner of the Social Brethren Church denomination. He was married to Ruth Daisy with 3 children namely Joshua Russell, Dorothy Ann & Donna Marie. They resided at First Church of the Social Brethren, Octagon street, Octagon Village, Pasig City Philippines. And moved to Bethany Social Brethren Church, Greenwoods Executive Village Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City. The family also resided to Jesus of Galilee Social Brethren Church, Banaba, San Mateo, Rizal. Currently, the pastor migrated to Canada as permanent residents.
